Coconut Cold Brew



16oz coffee beans
1 ½ Cup toasted unsweetened shredded coconut

To Make:

  • Course Grind 16oz of coffee beans

Place in a large bowl with:

  • 1 1/2 cups toasted unsweetened shredded coconut

  • Pour S L O W L Y 8 cups cold water.  Stir gently to moisten the grounds.

  • If you have a French Press this is the time to use it. Here's the one I love

Cover and chill for 24 hours.

  • Strain through a mesh sieve into another bowl.   

  • Discard grounds

  • Line sieve with a coffee filter

  • set over a 1qt jar and pour as much coffee in as will fit.

  • Strain, adding more coffee until all the liquid has drained through (about 20 mins)

Cover and chill up to 2 weeks.

To serve:  

Pour 1/2 cup coffee over ice with 1/2 cup coconut milk or nutpods.  

Makes 3 cups.
